Hypertension: Fighting the Silent Killer Together.
This World Hypertension Day, Sanofi’s Global Health Unit and the World Heart Federation are joining forces to shine a light on Hypertension and raise awareness on this health issue.

Hypertension affects over 1 billion people worldwide ¹, yet many remain undiagnosed. Known as the "silent killer," it often presents no symptoms while causing serious damage to vital organs. Left untreated, hypertension significantly increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure.
On World Hypertension Day, Sanofi’s Global Health Unit (GHU) and World Heart Federation (WHF) are willing to raising awareness among patients and healthcare professionals about this often underdiagnosed but potentially deadly condition especially in low- and middle-income countries.
Our Commitment
At Sanofi , we believe in creating healthier futures by improving access to prevention, treatment, and care for people living with non-communicable diseases like hypertension, particularly in low and middle-income countries where the burden is highest.
How?
The World Heart Federation and Sanofi’s Global Health Unit are partnering to enhance the capabilities of healthcare professionals and community workers in addressing cardiovascular diseases and hypertension in the Gambia as well as developing clinical implementation tools to support secondary prevention efforts across a variety of low-income countries and low resource settings.
