Global Health Partnerships – Community Breast Health Awareness in Uganda and Zambia
Driving earlier detection of breast cancer
Global Health Partnerships (formerly THET), working with the Association For Breast Surgery (UK) and Blended Learning UK has developed a standard global training package for breast health awareness, designed specifically for primary and community health workers. GHP has collaborated with key institutions in Zambia and Uganda to ensure the training package is comprehensive and effective.
Working with the Uganda Cancer Institute and Zambia’s Cancer Diseases Hospital, GHP has rolled out the training to village and primary care teams in Zambia and Uganda, adapting the content to local contexts and various healthcare cadres. Tailoring the training to the specific needs of each country aims to maximise its impact and ensure sustainable improvements in breast cancer care.
