Our projects

C/Can Cancer Challenge, Kigali
Strengthening Cancer Navigator role in Kigali by implementing the patient navigation programme in 5 institutions, including deployment of five cancer navigators and digitization of care pathways for breast and cervical cancer, sustainable for the long term.

Clinical Trials Training Programme
Capacity building - clinical trials training programme with University of Rwanda for Specialists and other HCP’s.

Oncology Specialist Training Programme
Oncology HCP Training Programme in partnership with the University of Rwanda.

NCD Alliance
Assessing the feasibility of the HIV/AIDS and NCDs integration models in Rwanda. Strengthening the capacity of the healthcare workforce and Civil Society Organizations focusing on the need for integrated care for HIV and NCDs services.

NCD Platform
The project will develop an NCD platform to support patients with NCDs in Rwanda. The three main objectives of the NCD platform include: increased awareness of diabetes and hypertension, increased access to testing and treatment and improving long-term adherence.

Scaling NCD Healthcare
Raising Awareness, screening and buidling the capacity of CHWs for early detection and management of hypertension and diabetes in Nyabihu district.

MediFIKIA
The primary goal is to improve supply chain management for NCD medicines and patient tracking at each facility to ensure patients are adherent to treatment.

Medtronic Labs
The Project is an integrated patient-centered model of care to improve diagnosis and disease management for diabetes and hypertension in Sierra Leone, Tanzania.

Breast Health Education
This project provides a training package & mentorship framework developed and locally contextualized. Along with the establishment of sustainable breast cancer knowledge and training cascade.

King’s Zambia Partnership
The development of surgery education and training plans, and a generating a route map for the development of the three cancer centres in Zambia with an engagement of a total of 52 Zambian healthcare workers.

Stop NCD's Project
The primary goal of the NCDs Prevention and Control Project is to institutionalize NCDs Prevention WHO Best Buys as a standard of care within the Church Health Institutions participating in the project.

Access NCD Initiative
The project aims to integrate NaCDs management into the HIV/SRH services platform therefore improving health outcomes for PSH clients by affording them a holistic package that meets most of their needs as they age on SRH and HIV prevention and/or treatment interventions.

Diabetes Fellowship Program
A Partnership with the University of Zimbabwe to improve Diabetes and hypertension management, with multidisciplinary diabetes fellowship training programs for HCP’s to improve the quality of care offered to our patients in various hospitals.

Towards integrating the response to HIV and NCDs
The project leverages on an existing comprehensive TB/HIV programme implemented by OPHID and aims to offer comprehensive NCD services to at-risk PLHIV and adults from the general population through integrated screening of NCDs and linkage to care and treatment.

East Africa Diabetes Study Group
Capacity building of regional journal clubs in Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania for improved cardiometabolic scientific engagement.

C/Can Cities Global Knowledge Network
A three-year partnership that aims to: SCALE-UP existing C/Can cities as a global knowledge hub for Cancer Care in Low and Middle Income Countries.
